Dual Channel Traffic Detector

The dual channel traffic detector is primarily designed for parking guidance systems, enabling automatic parking guidance and real-time control and management of parking lots. It directs drivers to the best available parking spots with a large LED display that shows real-time parking status and remaining space count. Vehicles are detected using accurate and reliable ultrasonic detectors.

These detectors, also known as inductive-loop traffic detectors, can identify vehicles passing or arriving at specific points, such as near traffic lights or on motorways. They work by installing an insulated, electrically conductive loop in the pavement. The electronics unit transmits energy into the wire loops at frequencies ranging from 10 kHz to 200 kHz, depending on the model.

The dual channel traffic detection system can integrate with our wireless controller system for enhanced functionality. Typically, a standard intersection can be equipped with eight dual channel traffic detectors. However, please note that if you choose the dual channel traffic detection system, it is not compatible with our countdown timer, as the countdown timer operates in a different mode.

Dual Channel Traffic Detection

The dual channel traffic detection system features a different reply output mode compared to the single channel loop detector. It is CE compliant, designed with industrial-grade components, and includes LED indicators. This system is cost-effective and easy to install, suitable for use with motorized gates and doors. It also features automatic frequency selection for enhanced performance.

Primarily used for vehicle presence detection, the dual channel loop detector is ideal for parking lots, toll roads, and traffic signal control. This detector, although termed dual channel, monitors one inductor at a time and is equipped with two relays to provide output signals. Users can select different output signals to control mechanical drives, card-out devices, or vehicle computing systems.

Installation Instructions:

• Install the vehicle detector in a dry, waterproof, and moisture-proof environment, as close as possible to the detection coil.
• The performance of the detector significantly depends on the detection coil it is connected to.
• Key parameters of the coil include its shape, size, number of turns, and embedding method. (Refer to the "Detection Coil Installation Guide" for detailed instructions.)

The dual channel car detector boasts excellent quality, making it a reliable choice for various traffic detection needs.

After powering on, the detector will perform a self-test that lasts approximately 3 seconds. During this process, the green indicator light will blink and then turn off if the self-test is successful. Ensure that no vehicle is parked on the detection coil during the self-test to confirm the coil's integrity.

Once the Dual Channel Traffic Detector has successfully completed the self-test, the green indicator light will illuminate, and the corresponding output relay will activate when a vehicle passes over the coil. If the taxi site is elevated and the sensor does not detect vehicles in the middle position, you may need to adjust the ground coil for improved performance.

To enhance detection accuracy:

1. Increase the number of sensing loops.
2. Test the ground sensing coil using a more complex winding method than the simple 0-type winding method.

These adjustments should improve the system’s ability to detect vehicles accurately.
