High-Quality Vehicle Loop Detector

Our system features two sets of relays designed for the grounding power (220V) wiring and the grounding coil wiring detector. Each set includes COM terminals linked to the 12V NO from the gate, with one set connected to the OPEN interface gate and the other to the STOP function.

In our vehicle loop detector specifications, we offer different models:

  • Model 1: In this mode, if a car passes from CH1 to CH2 coil, the CH1 relay pulses upon the car leaving the CH1 coil. Conversely, if the car passes from CH2 to CH1 coil, the CH2 relay pulses when the car exits the CH2 coil.

  • Model 2: Direction detection occurs such that if a car moves from CH1 to CH2 coil, the CH1 relay pulses upon the car entering the CH2 coil. Similarly, if the car moves from CH2 to CH1 coil, the CH2 relay pulses when the car enters the CH1 coil.

  • Model 3: Direction detection triggers the CH1 relay to pulse when a car enters the CH1 coil from CH1 to CH2 direction, and the CH2 relay pulses when the car enters the CH2 coil from CH2 to CH1 direction.

  • Model 4: In this configuration, CH1 and CH2 are independently controlled and output in presence mode.

 

The vehicle loop detector operates on the principle of electromagnetic induction, utilizing a working coil and a ground-sensing coil embedded beneath the road surface of the same lane. As vehicles pass over or stop on the coil, the ferrous materials within the vehicle alter the magnetic flux within the coil, subsequently modifying the coil's inductance. By detecting this change in inductance, the detector discerns the presence or absence of a vehicle.

Detection of the change in inductance can be achieved through two methods: one involves utilizing a phase latch and phase comparator to detect phase changes, while the other method utilizes a coupling circuit formed by the loop coil to detect oscillation frequency.

Installation and Diagnostics:

  1. Please refer to the diagrams provided for loop size and installation guidance.

  2. We recommend using 0.75mm² multi-core copper wire. The total wire length, including the feeder, can be up to 500m.

  3. Ensure the loop is rectangular in shape and avoid right angles. The recommended length ranges from 1.0m to 2.0m, while the recommended width ranges from 0.8m to 1.2m.

  4. Connect the remaining line to the detector at least once every 15 cm.

  5. The frequency of the coil is inversely proportional to the number of coil turns: more turns result in a lower frequency, while fewer turns lead to a higher frequency.

  6. The coil should be buried adjacent to the moving coil door.
